Join Christian Action after church on Sunday, November 5!
We will be assembling Christmas Shoeboxes for Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child. You can also take and fill your own shoeboxes or donate money for shipping, Checks should be made out to Bethany Christian Church with "Samaritans Purse" in the memo line. Filled shoesboxes will be collected on Sunday, November 12th.
The mitten tree is comming! We will be collecting new winter accessories in the church lobby during the month of December so pick some up on your next shopping trip to donate to people in need.
October Highlights:
Bethany participated in Prince Georges Police Department (PGPD) Discticts V's Faith and Blue event at Fellowship Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro on October 6th. We gave away Bethany pens, pencils, and postcards. We raffled off a basket donated by Rita Jensen. Thanks to Jessica Ford and Rev. Beverly Goines for coordinating participation. Thanks to George DeMarr, Susan Dickerson, and Rev. Landon Wilcox for assisting.
On October 11th, Distict V's Faith Advisory Councul had their monthly meeting at Bethnay. This Council brings the police and local pastors together to help the community. They will be filling Thanksgiving baskets for needy families at the four high schools in District V. Bethany will be participating. Thank to Brenda Sewell and Jessica Ford for helping serve lunch to the council.
