Update on COVID-19 Impact
In order to practice social distancing to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the church cancelled worship and other activities beginning the last two weeks in March. We are working on a plan to reopen the church safely when Maryland state guidelines permit.
In the meantime, we will continue to offer an online option to connect in worship each Sunday morning through Zoom. You can join by computer or smart device, or by calling in on your regular phone with the access numbers given in the Tower Notes, provided to members via email or regular mail. Remember, the church is not the building, it is the people. Let’s stay connected.
The church office is closed except for minimal operations. If a need arises, call Dr. Bob at home or email him at revdegges@yahoo.com.

It is very important to maintain your level of giving to the church, if at all possible, during this time when we are not able to be physically present at Bethany. Our bills must be paid. Please remain faithful in giving to the church.
We now have two ways for you to give your tithes and offerings.
First, you can send a check made out to Bethany Christian Church to the attention of the Financial Secretary at 7128 Allentown Rd., Fort Washington, MD 20744. Second, you can now donate to Bethany from the church website (http://bethanychristianmd.org/).
Just navigate to the Give page and follow the instructions. A secure page donation will open.
Select the Bank option to use a bank account or the Card option to use a debit or credit card. There is an option to pay the transaction fee (1% plus 10 cents for a bank account, 3% plus 10 cents for a debit/credit card). A memo line is provided (you may need to scroll down).
If you plan to donate online regularly, you can register to create a password and store your information. Your online donations will be included in the yearly summary you receive from the church. Please contact Scott Swett at sswett@cox.net with any questions.
